Monsour's

CDL played out at Monsour's last night on the patio. We had a great crowd and the weather was just perfect. This was our first gig with Dan Anderson who is helping us out on drums. Overall, I thought we were a little rusty but the second set things started to come together. This was also our first gig with Chris' new super compact Bose PA. I really thought it sounded great. I had a lot of friends who showed up and really made it a lively event. Cajun-Dixon Line is most likely playing 2 more Fridays at Monsour's in May. The next one is May 4th. Then we will be playing 2 shows at Mudbug, Thursday and Sunday. We should have it all together by then. Look forward to seeing everyone on the dance floor.

Performance Saturday night

Thanks to everyone who came to check us out on Saturday at the Lake Street Dance Hall. It was a good time although 4 hours of music is plenty for me. The crowd was decent during the first set but really got going toward the end of the night. We had a fair number of dancers and I especially appreciate Tim and DJ for their exceptional dancing. Tim did a nice job helping out on triangle for a couple of songs too.

I thought the new tunes went pretty well particularly Man of Constant Sorrow and Ring of Fire. Gina shot some new promo pictures and we got a couple of new videos. You should be seeing those over the next few weeks. We did get some bad news hat our October gig at Lake Street was cancelled. We love the venue and the idea of a Cajun dance hall in Shreveport but it looks like it is heading a different direction. We will keep you posted.

New Cajun-Dixon Line website is launched

Thanks to a lot of hard work by my friend Tom Serio over the weekend, the new Cajun-Dixon Line website is operational. Our old website was in dire need of a facelift and Tom had the creativity and goodwill to help me out. It looks great! Most of the content is uploaded through our Reverbnation site www.Reverbnation.com/cajundixonline. It should make it easier to provide new content to our fans. Let us know what you like and don't like on the new website.

We are in the process of updating our website and I am exploring potential blog hosting sites.  This looks like a good one so bookmark it and we will post updates periodically to let you know how everything is going.  See you on the dance floor!
